The HP CD-Writer Plus 8100i is the latest offering from HP that offers superb performance along with a great software package.
The software bundled with the 8100i includes the standard Adaptec utilities along with HP's own Simple Trax. Simple Trax is allows you to add files or directories to a disc and then shadow this information own your hard drive for easy tracking. Also included in the bundle is Disaster Recovery, a utility that allows you to store important files from your PC to a CD for recovery in case of a hard drive failure. The home version of the 8100i includes Photo Organizer and Corel Print House.
If you have ever installed an EIDE drive before you will find the SureStore a breeze. Easy to use instructions are included, so even for the non-technical person, installation should go through without a hitch.
For $195, the SureStore 8100i is a great buy. Not only do you receive a great CD-Writer, but you also receive a nice software bundle with the package. While this CDW is not 100% accurate, the intuitive user interface certainly makes this an attractive offer.
