The HP SureStore CD-Writer Plus 8100i has been one of the best additions to my already awesome computer. With the ability to back up files and create totally swank music CDs, I'M IN HEAVEN!
The 8100i is pretty easy to install in your computer. All you need to do is read the simple instructions, or watch the video taking you through the procedure step by step. My only problem was that i didn't have a long enough data cable, but a friend helped me out and i was burnin' in no time. After you get it installed, it is wise to setup your software onto your computer. Once installed, you'll be able to burn CDs within the first 5 minutes of use, with the helpful CD creator wizard.
This is an all around great product. The only bad part is that HP just released the 9100i that allows you to burn faster and easier. I suggest that you pick up the 9100i if you have the extra dough, but, if you really don't care, you can't go wrong with the HP SureStore CD-Writer Plus 8100i.
