don't buy hp 3970 scanner, won't work

looked good, but looks are not everything, nothing good to say.

there tech support is the pits, 4 hours, 3 techs,same issue still didn't work

hp 3970, won't work and no support called hp talked to someone in India, after an hour and a half, the scanner still froze up my computer, she stated "leave it alone for an hour and it will resolve the problem" sure it did, also told me not to hook to power surge cord, but follow install instructions, did #5, install to power surge, she said ignore. had me uninstall all other printer, etc. did not work, now having problem re-connecting because of "no digital signature"interferes. thanks HP, will not buy another HP product
