Good Printer, bad software
Pros
Is an all in 1 Printer and works well while it works.
Cons
Scanner Software stops after a while requiring reinstall, fax doesn't work overseas, expensive toner.

The Bottom Line:
If you don't need a scanner, this is a robust printer and fax, but the toner is expensive.
This printer is like most HP equipment, well built and solid.
All functions work pretty well, but color printing is slower than quoted and it is noisy. Having a machine that does printing, copying, faxing and scanning is great, in theory, the problem is that in order for it to do all of these things, it needs software on your PC and this is where this machine fails.
The software takes half an hour to install and this is on a high spec PC, you then have to apply patches and updates and there are problems with the drivers. The postscript driver does not support the Machines 2 paper trays, everything comes out of one tray. The next problem, and this is the real pain, is that when you scan documents or pictures, it scans them to your hard drive. You can setup multiple locations or even email them, the problem is the software loses it's settings after a few weeks and you can't set them up again without de-installing the software and re-installing it again, then applying all the updates!
This problem has been logged with HP and their advice - deinstall the software and re-install it again. I've spent more time doing this in the past 6 months than it would cost to buy 3 separate machines.
The Fax is also pretty easy to use and you can print straight from Word which is nice, but it too has problems in that it cannot send or receive faxes to certain machines and if you want to send faxes overseas, virtually overseas and sometimes it cannot accept or send faxes
