Exceptional Quality for a Great Price

The Bottom Line:  If you need a new monitor, for any purpose (work or play) this is the monitor to buy.
As a web designer who needs a lot of screen space, using a wide screen display is ideal. To give you an idea of how much space this screen gives you - with a 20" display like this HP, you can fit 2 8.5 x 11 word documents side by side for review.

I use my monitor for work, but anyone who wants to read emails, surf the web, play games and even watch DVDs should have a wide screen monitor - you will never go back to the standard square shaped monitors ever again.

All the specs on this monitor are absolutely competitive with more expensive screens. the one slight draw back is the viewing angle, it is listed as 160 degrees. But the color shift at the sides of the monitor when looking straight on is minimal and there isn't a wide screen lcd monitor that eliminates color shift completely. You will pay extra for a higher viewing angle, and i don't think it's worth it.

This monitor is so flexible, it comes with a base that is height adjustable, and the screen itself can rotate and swivel and tilt. Most inexpensive monitors don't have these features.

I bought two of these monitors from an online retailer and both arrived with no dead pixels, which is a testament to the careful shipping, but also to the quality of the monitor - this isn't a cheap knock off, it's just priced incredibly well.

here's why you want to buy this monitor:
Great price for all the features.
It's very flexible - you can use it horizontally or vertically.
It's adjustable - you can swivel viewing angle, height and even mount it on a wall. (many inexpensive monitors don't have adjustment features like this)
the specs are comparable to higher price monitors.
It has a clean, minimal design.

here's why you wouldn't want to buy this monitor:
slight color shifts from right to left - but because this monitor is adjustable, you can minimize this by positioning it so you are looking straight at it...and remember there isn't an LCD monitor that doesn't have color shift when you view the monitor at different angles.
