Great but NOISY printer

Pros easy setup works on the wireless network. quality and speed excellent, ink usage good.
Cons NOISY, NOISY, NOISY!
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I recommend this printer without reservation for anyone who needs an inexpensive, easy to setup, easy to use all-in-one printer and can stand a little bit of noise.
I would recommend anyone in need of a very good, inexpensive, all-in-one inkjet printer to purchase and use this printer. I have only one issue with it and I address that below.
I bought this printer based on the recommendation of the clerk at Staples. He was absolutely correct in that I have been getting very good print quality, excellent ink usage and it was very easy to setup and install wirelessly with my home network.
Scanning is easy and works seamlessly on the wireless network and the scan quality has been excellent with the option to scan in multiple formats.
The copy function is very easy to use, my children are homeschooled and they use this printer to copy their daily assignments and it has been easy for children of all ages to use for copying...and it has so far stood up to this hard use.
I have not used the fax feature on this printer however the printer in our office in New York seems a bit slow.
The only real complaint that I have regarding this printer's performance is that it is extremely noisy. when it begins the startup cycle it goes through a 30-40 second series of clacks, sounds of spinning gears and other grinding noises. It is very annoying for this to happen EVERY time the printer starts up. If it only happened during startup it would be one thing however, every time it prints it does the same thing, in fact after a long delay the printer will spontaneously go through the noise sequence again. I use voice recognition software and I have discovered that when I print or start up the printer I have to pause and wait for it to finish in order to continue dictating. If I had the option I would move it into the other room however I need to have my printed documents readily at hand.
