Hewlett Packard PAVILION F1903 19 inch LCD Monitor

This monitor has excellent picture quality, especially for tweaking pictures as it does not have any glare. We got lucky because we blindly chose this at Best Buy, later to find out that Consumer Reports gave this monitor a Good-Very Good rating. There is one problem though--the cable is very difficult to install. It connects to the monitor vertically instead of horizontally. As a result, when I shut down the computer, there is an error message that says "check video cable." Of course, once the monitor "goes to sleep" you don't see the error message. I have done everything possible, including using a different cable and also using a screwdriver to make sure the cable is installed tightly. I even contacted HP and was told that the only reason I'm getting the error message is because the cable is not connected properly. We just bought the monitor 9/6/04 and ended up exchanging it for another to see if the same issue presented itself. It did. We're keeping it anyway because the pros outweigh this minor annoyance.
