The Bottom Line:
My recommendation is to by a different manufacturers printer. Lexmark is providing a 3 year manufacturers warranty.
I puchased this all in one c7280 printer about 16 months ago from Best Buy. Initially the printer was easy to setup up on my wireless network, easy to use and worked well. After about 1 year though, errors started to pop up, so I did the normal troubleshooting through the manual and things the errors temporarily went away. Approximately 2 weeks later, the errors returned. 0cx05 errors mostly. I called HP support (India) and their solution stated that this cannot be fixed, my product is out of warranty, and they could assist me in purchasing a new one over the phone. Say what? I checked the printer and saw I printed 810 copies through it. 1 year, can't be fixed, 810 copies? With all the ink, paper and the cost of the printer itself that cost me about .56 cents per page and now I have to buy another one? I searched the internet - found a few reset fixes - they didn't work. I eventually found out that one of the plastic gears fell off inside the unit and took it to a local repair shop because the gear was lodged inside the printer somewhere. After $105 to break open the printer, find the gear, re-attach it, and put the printer back together, the printer worked for a total of 3 days. Then the errors returned. Now the errors say "Printer pump stalled", which is the death rattle. No one will replace that and no fix on the internet will reset the printer and make it work again. So not only am I down $105 for repair, I new printer ink in it and it still wont work.
So now everything else works BUT the ability to print, and the whole thing goes into the recycling garbage. What a waste of resources. HP you should be ashamed for putting such a product with your brand on it. I've purchased Deskjets in the past and they were rock solid - but you've lost a customer with junk like this c7280. BUYER BEWARE: Google all the issues with the HP all-in-one products before you buy and make sure to get an extended warranty so HP is forced to provide you a new one when it quickly fails - and it will.
