The Bottom Line:
For a 16:9 projection television, this is a great bang for the buck!
After searching and reviewing for days and days, I finally stumbled on to this unit. I was debating over a Sony XBR but the price difference is what lead me to this unit. For a 16:9 HDTV ready television, this is a great price point! The only disadvantage to this unit is the slow 1.5 sec delay in changing channels. That can be resolved by using your VCR tuner or a cable box. No biggie. This TV is in a room that gets a lot of sunlight and when watching this unit during the day, the picture quality still looks great thanks to the auto "picture perfect" option!
Spend the money to get a progressive scan DVD player and use the component video cables. Well worth the money.
