Best TV I've purchased!
I'm Mr. Researcher when it comes to buying anything over $500, so it wasn't a surprise for my wife to see me spending a few hours on the internet before buying this big screen.
I researched the prices, the picture quality and the reliability and found that this 43" TV was the best in its...

43UWX10B
Initially, I started shopping strictly for a standard console TV (36") due to limitations in the area (about 40"x40"x40" in-wall cutout almost 5 feet off the floor) I would be placing the set. After looking at the cost/benefit of the console TVs, I decided that I could get significantly more TV for... Read full review »
43 FDX 10B not UWX
Not seeing a place to review the FDX model, I am using this UWX spot instead. The 3 Hitachi models for 2001 are the UWX, FDX and DX. They are listed in order of decreasing features and price.
The FDX10B I purchased, at Circtuit City, cost $1650, plus a free DVD player, or take a credit of $100...

Great 16:9 TV
After searching and reviewing for days and days, I finally stumbled on to this unit. I was debating over a Sony XBR but the price difference is what lead me to this unit. For a 16:9 HDTV ready television, this is a great price point! The only disadvantage to this unit is the slow 1.5 sec delay in... Read full review »
I scored!
As with the first reviewer for this product, I also research anything costly, especially cars and electronics. I had most of my home audio stolen and decided to set up a home theatre with the insurance $ and some out of my pocket, to ensure the best quality I could afford.
Since it took a...

Great Picture
I picked this one out of a couple TVs. The other was the Mit 47908. The Mit was just a bit larger than I needed in my room being 8 inches deeper. The Hitachi is a perfect size for my room. Less than 21 inches deep, 43 inches wide and perfect height with its stand. I got the stand in the deal as a... Read full review »
Hitachisucks
Purchased my jewel of a set in October of '01. Forked over $350 to repair the convergence in September of '05(Hitachi tech support wasn't very supportive). On Saturday, November 4th, 2006, picture went completely out. Stay away from this Hitachi product. Read full review »
First Projection TV
This is our first projection TV. What sold me was the Brand, lots of customer satisfaction and the fact that tube TV's only come 36inch, except for Sony's 40 inch, but they are too wide in the back. It took a couple of months to get used to looking at this picture. If I had to do it over, I would... Read full review »
Puts others to shame...
I had been in the market for a widescreen HDTV for about 2 months or so and decided on the Hitachi 43UWX10B after checking out all the other brands, and no matter what "newest" TV I see at CircuitCity/BestBuy... I don't regret my purchase one bit.
After figuring out what size was going to...

Hitachi Ultravision
This is an excellent HDTV. Very bright and clear. The features are easy to understand and program. Excellent sound and very high picture quality. Combined with HDTV sat it is an excellent choice! The color of the box is very good and not too flashy. Works very well in bright daylight also. The tv... Read full review »
