The Bottom Line:
Awesome Television I have owned this television for four month's and i am still awed by it's performance any many features.
I decided this year would be the year I upgraded from my 35" Hitachi tube. I owned this T.V for 12 years and was always happy with it. So I was leaning toward buying Hitachi again. However I was willing to invest up to 3,500 so I was keeping an open mind to other television manufactures. I read a lot of reviews and spent a lot of time at electronic stores watching different televisions. One day while at Circuit City I was standing there watching the 50VS810 and there was a couple who were with a salesman. They were deciding between Sony or Samsung. The woman asked a question I had never thought of asking, how many of these do you get returned? The salesman replied "we get some Sonys returned and some Samsungs but not a lot." When he was done I asked him how many Hitachi's 50VS810's get returned? He replied that they don't get any returned, and that it was one of there most popular selling L.C.D's. I purchased the Hitachi in February and the honeymoon is not over. This is a remarkable television with many cool features and an outstanding picture. This is definitely a Hitachi that will not be going back.
