We bought this TV a little over a year ago. The hook up was easy, and the picture in HD is great. The regular cable picture is so / so. As I have noticed on other forums, my 60V500A has also developed a red glow in the center of the screen. It is really noticeable on dark sceens. The lamp went out a few days ago, so now I am looking at $175 to $250 to replace the lamp depending on what site I choose. It is out of warranty, so I do not even want to see what it will cost to fix the red glow. I guess I will suck up the cost to replace the lamp and live with the glow. Hopefully it will last another year, where I will be in a better position to buy another brand of television.
