I just got my Hitachi a month ago and I'm amazed by the picture every time I turn it on. I bought a new RCA DVD upconverter and the movies we have are like looking at whole new movie from what it was before. I have noticed the noise that's talked about with the audio but is only noticed when volume is low. Even then it doesn't both me. Getting all my add on equipment was very easy and after I had it in living room I worked on the hook up about an hour. I also heard so much about the DVI to HDMI connections and the problems some people have. I got a $30 cable and it works great with the DVD. So fare I would have to rate my Hitachi A1 in all areas.
