TOP OF THE LINE Hitachi 60V500A

Pros Features, remote, Design, HIGHEST QUALITY picture out there with HDTV
Cons None and this is my second Hitachi LCD. Well like all TVs stand is extra.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Simply the BEST! Amazing Picture in HDTV, it is like looking thru glass, or being there. I can not say enough for Hitachi LCD.
This set I prefer to my Sony LCD, flat out with HDTV in use, I have never seen a better picture in a showroom or display of any kind of visual product. Stunning.

The features are many, the design is an art-deco look, attractive in any home, unlike some overly trendy ultra modern sets. Picture Quality is what this TV is all about, with either, HDTV or an UPconverting DVD player, that can handle 1080i, this is the end all of present technology.

In sunny rooms you still have a nice picture, unlike many TVs.
While I know direct sun is harmful, for sure you do not have to sit in the dark. DETAILS are just amazing and the picture is antiglare as well as LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE ACTUALLY THERE! I was really impressed. I had the 50" version and ungraded, because it too, was a real winner.

No troubles with lamps in either, and no sign of picture weakness. To say I am totally pleased is an Understatement, I was really suprised. Which takes alot, because I would say, electronics is the one area I spend alot of money on. Always a Sony owner, I just liked this TV overall. And have never looked back. DLP does not look like this set, on cable HDTV.

There is one interesting thing I have found, that comparing this the 60V500A to my 50V500 that the picture here is brighter, and more vivid, being a year newer model, am sure this is in the technology, the only trade off, you give up when going from the 50" to the 60" is a slight loss of detail, however this is only seen with DVD, not HDTV. You gain size and the picture is truly amazing. This seems to be the case with most larger TVs, however none compare to the Hitachi picture, none at all.

YOU CAN SPEND ALOT MORE AND GET ALOT LESS IS THE BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE HERE!
