Hitachi DZ-MV270A DVD Camcorder

Do NOT purchase Hitachi digital camcorders. The software that comes with the camera is only for stills (this is a movie camera right?). You have to purchase extra software to make the camera compatible with your computer, and it doesn't work. The software (Sonic) is crap. The camera itself is very slow and extremely complex to work, much too complicated for simple home video use. The support for the camera and the software both, is useless. I have had several people trying to get this stuff to work, including one friend who works on all kinds of software programs for a living. I have spent a total of about two weeks of my time over the last year talking to the support personal, and trying to get it to work, and and am getting nowhere. Just beware.
