Hitachi VTFX6500A VHS VCR

I am amazed how costless the VCR machines have become. It is getting more affordable. I found this machine at SAM's club when I was looking for a second VCR machine for our home. I did not have enough budget, so I was actually looking for basic function cheapest VCR with reliable manufacturer. Hitachi has been know as one of the most reliable VCR maker in Japan and I could not believe the price of this VCR when I found it. It is 4 head, Hi-fi Stereo and it was under $90.00. Picture quality is fine, may not be the best but it is good enough for regular use (it does not mean bad, but I think it is very good.) Sound is great. I am a movie lover and I have DVD player as well. You can not compare DVD and VCR, but this machine provide excellent picture and sound for the movies. Setting up was very easy. All you need to do is to hook up on the antenna cable and follow the on screen menu. Automatic clock setting helps a lot. On the other hand, this machine does not offer automatic head cleaning that most o
f the cheaper machines offer. One thing that I was not that impressed about this machine is the rewind speed. Instruction made it sounds like the rewinding speed is so fast, but it is not that fast. Well, it does not really disturb me since I will not be using VCR so often anyway
