Great VCR, Great Price!

Fun look, great picture and sound quality, Front and rear AV inputs, great price.

The Bottom Line:
If you like iMac looking stuff, and want a high quality VCR, get it.
I picked this VCR up at Future Shop not expecting to buy a VCR, and not expecting anything special . It was an "open box" unit sitting on display for only $29 CDN. I grabbed it and figured if there was anything wrong with it, I could easily return it.
The Unit is iMac looking translucent clear and dark blue, and I thought my daughter would enjoy it as it would match her computer, and she needed a new VCR anyway.
The manual, remote, batteries and cables were still sealed in a baggie, so I'm pretty sure the unit was never used.
The unit is a 4 head HIFI. It says 4 2 head, so I guess its 6 head. It has front and rear AV inputs, great for Playstation and video cameras.
It works great! I tested it out with pre-recorded tapes, and tapes from other VCRs in the house. It has great tracking, unlike the last VCR I purchased, a SVHS JVC VCR. It seems to only likes tapes from other JVC VCRs... I wish they had more of these Hitachis in stock at that price, I would have gone back to get them to replace other VCRs in the house. They'd make great gifts for kids too!
My daughter has been using it for over a month now and is quite pleased with it.
I would highly recommend this VCR to anyone.
