Biggest PDA Bargain Ever?
MSNBC?s website had a featured article this past weekend about the IBM WorkPad z50. It said this model, which was originally being sold for $999 was being discontinued and was now available for $299! I checked the reviews at epinions.com and saw that it was recommended by all seven reviewers and... Read full review »
My Most Useful (and Hardest Working) Gadget
The Skinny: Ultralight workhorse with good keyboard and functional color screen, instant boot up time, upgradeable ROM board (stores OS and default apps), no mechanical parts to wear out or crash (so should last a good while and survive light abuse).

Small and Does the Job
When I first saw this product come into the client site that I was working I was a tad bit skeptical. First of all I heard mixed reviews from my colleagues as to how good Windows CE is. I used to have a Palm III (until it got stolen) and really enjoyed it. It had a lot of battery life and did what... Read full review »
IBM z50: The PDA of the Decade!!
A great Machine made by IBM. Of course, IBM makes great machines and has been for a
countless number of years.
First, A little memory background From PC Magazine:

Get one quick!!
I've had the IBM Workpad Z50 for less than a week, but I've got to say, I'm impressed!

====
Size: the thing is 25.9 cm x 20.3 cm x 2.5 cm, basically less than the size of a normal pad of paper, and about an inch and a bit thick. It weighs less than 3 pounds. So it's light and...

Fantastic deal if you can find one cheap!
I got one of these for my wife to take to college and take notes or type papers up. I toyed around with it quite a bit and was very impressed. The keyboard is excellent and better than most laptop keyboards that I have used. The screen, while smallish, is very crisp and well defined; it is a very... Read full review »
Great Value PDA with keyboard
I freely admit the first thing that attracted me to the Z50 was the price, I paid about #200 (UK Sterling)and they can still be found new for about $300.
What you get:
One of the best keyboards you are likely to find on a portable device - word processing is a pleasure.

An IBM Product Shouldn't Perform Like This
I've hesitated to submit a review on the z50 WorkPad, but after returning two units which went dead in the water within 10 days of receipt, I feel I should share my disappointment.
IBM's great reputation for manufacturing quality products suggests their products shouldn't be like this.

Small, but fully functional
The IBM Workpad Z50 is finally coming down in price. Street prices at this time linger in the mid to low $300 range. A previous price of $799-$1000 prevented many people from seriously considering a Z50 as a companion. With the new pricing structure, however, this will soon change.
What...
