RUN, don't walk away from the Basslink II. DO NOT BUY!

Pros Small footprint
Cons High failure rate across the board.
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  Stay away from a product that has had numerous complaints across the Internet about its high failure rate.
Recently purchased a Cadillac RSX which had a premium Bose system installed. However, anyone that knows audio knows how much of an overpriced, underperformed speaker line like Bose is.

Sure enough, the experience of listening to music in my vehicle was nothing short of bland. I sought to purchase a subwoofer. Needed something with a small footprint since I didn't have a lot of cargo space in my crossover vehicle.
The Infinity Basslink and Basslink II were recommended to me by my trusted local installer. I spent hours upon hours scouring the Internet and reading every review out there about this subwoofer.

I should have listened to the reviews. I should have listened.

The failure rate on the Basslink models are pretty high. Go ahead and read reviews on Amazon and Crutchfield. Put BASSLINK into Google and read the reviews on the various car forums. People are experiencing failures within the first few hours to days to year.

I should have listened to the reviews. I should have listened.

I ordered the Basslink II from Amazon and had it installed. For the first few days, this thing rocked! It was the exact solution my vehicle needed. The sound system in my SRX went from a "6" to a "10." I was a happy camper! Two days later, the Basslink II began making a horrific rattling sound. Opened the cargo area to listen to inconsistent bass delivery overridden by rattling. This is exactly what the many reviews across the Internet warned.

So, I am in the process of getting a refund from Amazon. I am going to order a Pioneer enclosed subwoofer with amp. I should have spent more money to get something of quality instead of this piece of garbage from Infinity.

BTW, the Basslink II has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Wow! No surprise there. I read that Crutchfield had a wave of returns on this unit so perhaps that lead to the model being phased out.

Do yourself a favor. Stay away from the Infintity Basslink line.
