I just acquired well over 100 new CD's! Well, not really, but the Infinity RS 4 speakers my wife bought for our new sound system has helped me put new life and find new sound in my old CD's!
We had recently begun acquiring components for our new sound system. We started with a pair of Sony Items (Both already Reviewed by me...) The Receiver is a STR-DE835 and the CD Changer is a CDP-CX230. But like most systems, the quality of the sound is a direct result of the speaker capabilities and the Infinity Brand has a reputation for quality that I now know is deserved!
Our speakers (actually only the FIRST 2 of what our system WILL be) provides us with such a full and rich sound that we are still savoring many of our older CD's; still I was able to enjoy the beauty and splendor of my most recent CD purchase, Eric Carmen's "I Was Born to Love You"... and I did SAVOR the sound through these speakers.
To date, the best speaker I've ever owned was in my car; the Monsoon set up in my Pontiac Firebird... but CD's I've heard in both... including the afore-mentioned Eric Carmen release... have proven to me that the sound of my car pales in comparison to this new set-up!
Like I said, OLD CD's have new life! My wife and I have been amazed at sounds and instruments we've not heard before in CD's we've owned for 5 to 10 years! The clarity and richness are awesome!
What else can I say? If you're in the market for new speakers, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING UNTIL YOU LISTEN TO AN INFINITY SPEAKER! (And IF you do... well, I hope you NEVER HEAR an infinity... 'cause if you do; well... trust me!)
