Quite a nice system
Pros
Great sound for a small package.
Cons
So far, I don't find any cons to write about.
Recommended it?
Yes
I picked up this system on sale at a local retail store. This is my first complete 5.1 speaker system and I am very happy with it so far.
The satellites speakers are very small, but have excellent sound for their size. The subwoofer produces hefty bass with a good punch. The system is connected to a JVC 5.1 surround receiver with 100 watts per channel, and it seems to be a good match. I am using the subwoofer's built-in power amplifier connected to the LFE (mono-sub) output of the receiver.
I have two recommendations for those who own this system:
Spread out your speakers as far as you can while maintaining a good listening zone. These speakers sound FANTASTIC when the satellites are spread out. It makes the sound even larger, and helps your imaging.
If your receiver has a crossover setting for the subwoofer, set it at a higher numerical value rather than lower. 120hz seems much better than 80hz, for example. This seems to produce a better all-around sound.
