The Bottom Line:
I would recommend buying a different system. I think you will be very disappointed with the working quality of this system.
I bought an Initial IDM-FD10 10.2" flipdown TFT LCD Monitor with DVD player for my daughter when we travel. I thought it would be nice for her to be able to watch movies and prevent boredom.
I thought the screen size was great (even though it was hard to see out of the back window when opened). The picture was actually very good for the money.
Unfortunately, after buying 2 of these products, I was still upset that I couldn't use it. After a few months, I noticed that the overhead lamp was stuck on. I tried everything to get it to go off. I checked on the internet to see if anyone else had this same problem. I found one other person who also could not get his overhead lamp to go off.
Because this runs my battery down, I have had to resort to pulling the fuses from the system and can not use it. My daughter is very disappointed and can not understand why we can't use it.
Now i have this hole in the headliner of my car and will have to replace it or leave the unworking system there.
I would definitely recommend spending a little more another brand, and not purchasing the Initial IDM-FD10, or buy a system that can easily be removed with no damage to the interior of your vehicle.
