Quit after about 15 hours of use

I bought one of these for my wife for Christmas, and after she took it into her workplace, and played it for about 15 hours over the course of two to three months, my wife works away from her office quite a lot, so we were very disappointed when it started acting up. What it does is this, it will play for about 10 seconds, then an error message comes up. If you turn the unit off and wait a couple of seconds, turn it back on and hit play, it will play for about 10 seconds, then the same thing. I contacted Overstock.com for some help, and they just told me that it was past the 90 day warranty, and they could do nothing, like this has happened before. Very disappointed, because she has little room, and it fit perfectly into the space she had on her desk. the other part that is very disappointing is the fact that it was a little tinny in the sound department, but that was something that was kinda expected as the speakers weren't exactly mega boomers.
