Generally, I like it.
Pros
looks nice, solid TV, digital, picture size
Cons
sometimes goes black when changing the channel or turning on (not often)
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
A great tv for the price.
I didn't do a whole lot of research when I bought this TV and I did so without realising everyone would be eventually switching over to Digital. For the price, I felt it was a better option than a 32 inch TV for sure!
The remote is a nice small-ish size (slightly longer than my hand) and has all the key buttons - including "flashback" (return to previous channel) and the button that changes the TV's input. The writing does tend to wear off on key buttons, however, but that is really a minor issue.
The TV screen is nice, big, and clear and allows you to choose between three different screen views - widescreen, 11x16 and full screen. AND these views are available for EVERY channel. You can also set up your TV to scan only your favourited channels, so you don't keep having to channel surf over the black & white ones.
The TV itself is a little big, but it has nice built in hand grips on the top sides of the box for easy moving. The speakers are in the front as well which lets the listener leave the volume lower than if watching a TV with speakers in the back. It may see trivial, but actually makes a huge difference. It also has easy access cable outputs/inputs hidden in the front below the screen. The outlets in the back allow for up to three different inputs - VCR, DVD player, PS2...
Sometimes, though, I do find that my TV will suddenly go black when changing the channel or turning it on. I don't know why it does this, but it does go away if I turn it off and then back on again. It doesn't do it often (once every couple of months) and didn't start until I'd had the TV for about 6 months or so. It can be a little annoying, but it's manageable.
All in all, a solid TV for the price.
