Best 27" Tube TV

Pros Awesome picture, component input, good price
Cons None that I can think of.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  The best picture available on a tube TV. Extremely satisfied.
When I went looking for a TV, I did my share of research. I looked at Panasonic, JVC, RCA, Samsung and Sony. The flat screens were a bit out of my price range, but I have many DVD's and wanted the superior quality of a component video input. The only brands which offered this at a reasonable price were JVC and Panasonic. The choice between these was made easier by JVC's higher resolution (about 650 lines) and their superior digital comb filter (3 line). Their price was also better than the Panasonic. As it happened, a guy I knew was moving and couldn't take his 8 month old AV-27D201 with him. $275 later, I had everything I was looking for.
The picture is the clearest I have ever seen on a tube TV. I have it hooked up to a receiver so I cannot really comment on the sound. Also, I use a universal remote and have Digital Satellite and therefore have not had any experience with the Hyperscan feature, which some people do not like.
In my opinion, a TV's job is as a display monitor, it is not made to do anything else.
