Yes
The Bottom Line:
Short of HDTV its the best picture I've seen. Can't beat the price.
I love this TV. I compared and researched every flatscreen 27"-32" TV out there. This TV was technically and price wise better than the Sony Wega 27". It has the newest technology available where as the Sony's tech is six months older. The component inputs are a big plus for me. DVD movies look wonderful and its the only TV I could find with DUAL component inputs. I like that because I can hook up my playstation 2 and my DVD player through the best cable available. This was a great deal.
The picture looks amazing on Satellite, VCR, DVD, and Playstation.
There are different color setting preset in the TV for different uses. They're called Standard, Choice (your picks), and Theatre. I really love this option. The theatre takes out a lot of the brightness and its really easy on your eyes.
I must admit I don't use the PIP. I really got this model for the Dual Components, so I don't know if the PIP is any good.
I did have to exchange this TV. One of the speakers went out and buzzed. The new TV is fine, and it sounds good, but it sounds a lot better through my stereo. I think digital sound is just weird though. I blame the dvds more than the TV for the weak sound. VHS tapes always seem to sound better than the DVDs through the tv speakers.
The flat screen is really cool. I can see the picture undistorted from any angle. The TV is beautiful to look at too. I love the side speakers (make sure it fits in your entertainment center, I didn't!)
This is a really really heavy TV. It's probably no heavier than any other TV its size, but be prepared to lift a lot, or have it delivered. The remote is okay. It can control satellite/cable boxes which is nice, but its a little clunky looking and functioning.
UPDATE:
It's now 2/02 and I still have the same TV. I've used it everyday for hours a day and its been wonderful. The sound is incredible too. I've had no problems at all. I never use the PIP though. Still highly recommend.
