Excellent TV for the money.

The Bottom Line:
This TV is a very good buy for the money. The quality is excellent. If you want a good quality TV at a reasonable price this one is the one!
When I first moved I was looking for a good quality TV, at a reasonable price. In looking around I found the JVC AV-36260. I have to admit I really wanted a real flat screen, but I couldn't afford the size that I wanted for the room. I found that this JVC was my answer!
The picture quality was excellent, clear with no distortion. The only thing that I did notice is that it would bow on the sides, top and bottom when turning the set on and off. This cleared as soon as it started and never happened when it was running.
The sound quality, without the use of external speakers or amp, was really good. The adjustments in the menu allow for personal taste, not just the manufacturers settings. There are output jacks to hook up to an external speaker system with settings that allow you to adjust the sound from the TV. This feature makes the use of surround sound easy and convenient with one remote control.
The remote control was easy to program for the VCR. And easy to use for both the TV and other equipment. The buttons are clearly marked and conveniently placed for ease of use.
The only two complaints that I have had with this TV are the placement of the AV jacks, directly on the front of the set. I prefer the side so I don't have wires in front of the screen. And the weight of the set itself. When I bought this TV I was told that it was considered a portable. I don't know anyone that could possibly carry this TV by themselves!
This TV also is good looking and durable. Along with easy to clean and care for.
