JVC CHX1500 / NOT RF!

Pros Everything about the NON RF version (CH-X1500)
Cons Can't think of one but then again, I'm not using the CH-X1500RF
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Owned for 6 hard months and haven't had 'Problem One'
Was reading the one other review and figured out the reviewer bought the RF version of this and he complained about the sound quality... No kidding, rebroadcast the signal in RF (radio freq) and you expect the sound quality not to suffer?
I've owned this changer (the direct cable, NOT the RF version) for over 6 months. Naturally it's hooked up to a JVC deck (KD-AR560). I LOVE THIS CHANGER. 12 disks / Reads Mp3's = 120 albums in the trunk! Have to keep a 'cheat sheet' in the center consule just to remember all the album on demand. Sound is as good as the head unit. The only time this changer ever skips is on REALLY bumpy (read 'dirt') roads. Takes a few moments to read when you manauly change disks (I only use Mp3 disks) but I can't complain. The automatic change (disk 1 finishes, disk2 starts, etc.) seems quicker. Haven't found a changer that will both read Mp3 disks and has anything near this capacity. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CHANGER. (Current install: 2000 Dodge Status sedan, it's in the trunk, horizontal. Soon to get another for my restoration project: 82 Vanagon Westfalia Camper / to be mounted vertical, both have the same head). Dumper a Panasonic CD/Mp3 head unit because their recommended changer DIDN'T read Mp3. Totally sold on this combo.
