I went to Best Buy to get a CD changer about 2 months ago. I was taking a road trip and I hate to flip through the radio in unfamiliar cities. I should have done some research first, but I got lucky.
It cost 240 dollars, which was cheaper than some 6 disk changers. I got this because the sales rep said he had it and loved it. I like being able to put 12 cd's into it. That's enough music to last several hours.
The changer is capable of random play of all 12 disks. It only has a 6 second seek time. It has a 12 second cache, so if you hit a pot hole or something else, it RARELY skips. I found myself listening to my cd's a lot more than the radio.
It didn't look to hard to install, but I had Best Buy install it so my insurance would cover it. You can mount the little control device anywhere you want. It has velcro sticky's on it.
Overall I am completely impressed with this changer. It was so nice to just drive and listen to the music I like instead of searching the dial for a decent radio station.
