The Bottom Line:
This is just one of the best video camera's any amateur can use, even to make real movies that good is this quality!
I bought this video camera two or three years ago, I really can't tell. I have used this camera for New Years Eve, my trip to the Gambia and some other things.
When I got sick of my low-quality mobile, I decided to get this camera because it seemed good, easy and good quality. Well, I couldn't be right more.
I have used this camera since, with a exception of small video's with my photo camera or iPod, but for the rest I used this one. I love this camera, because you can take it with you easily, it's very light so your arm and shoulder won't get tired after recording long, which you do get with some heavier camera's.
The battery life depends on the use of the camera and the quality, higher quality means the battery dies faster and you have less hours / minutes to record.
So if you want to make a video and don't get responses like 'What a bad quality' and that use the middle quality, and if you want a short video but good quality use the Ultra quality.
There are many things I love about it, but also some things I hate, like when I record in the night the quality is not good. Still reasonable to watch but I recommend buying another camera if you wanna record in the night much.
And if you zoom in, you can hear it a bit on the video, not very much but slightly, it doesn't annoy me or other people, but you can hear it.
And when you use a high quality, video files can be very big, the trip to the Gambia was 35 gigabyte total, so have a external hard disk with a lot of room for your movie files.
The JVC Everio GZ-MG155 HDD is one of the best camera's you can get for a reasonable price.
I hope this helped you, and I really recommend buying this.
