Apartment dwellers, here is your stereo
Pros
Reads CDR/RW, tiny, good sound
Cons
No MP3, single CD
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Buy it to impress your friends, and enjoy your music.
Looking at the spectrum of mini-stereos, there are a few key differentiators -
- Size, this thing is tiny, fits easily on a small shelf
- Great Sound, even playing the radio, crisp at high volume
- Play CD R/RW, most mini stereos don't, like Sony's
I didn't want a tape deck, and I have to agree with the other reviewer that not having MP3 playing is a draw back - but as of now, very few of the systems I saw (and no mini systems) had this feature - so if you find as pretty of a system as this w/MP3, let me know, I don't think it exists (yet).
I stuck this thing in my kitchen/dining room, it looks so good it's better than decorating. The blue glow (dimmable) and motorized glass lid make this look even smarter than it already is - luckily it has the audio goods to keep up the illusion that it could take over all your other appliances.
