JVC GR-AX841 VHS-C Analog Camcorder

Recently I received this camera for a gift. Now, we were in the market for a camcorder, but probably would not have chosen this one for ourselves. Mostly because we thought we wanted one that used full sized vhs tapes. Well, after trying this one out ( it is a vhs-c), I love it!! It's the perfect size to hold, and the hassle I thought we'd have with using the compact vhs tapes is essentially non-existent. All you need to do is use the adapter that usually comes with a pack of tapes, or get the adapter cable and transfer it to a full size tape. This is the way we will go for sending tapes to the relatives.

The camera has several editing features to make your videos more professional, such as adding text to the movies for birthdays, anniversaries etc. You can also use such things as negative, fog, twilight and several others.

It comes with a light so you never have to worry about if you have enough, plus two settings for the light. The quality of the pictures is good, and the ease of use is pretty good. The only thing that is a small problem for me is remembering which button to push for which effect. Everything is right at your fingertips. You can put it on a tri-pod, hook it straight up to your TV, VCR, and it comes with a charger that will DIS-charge your battery for you and re-charge it in an hour and 1/2. Overall we are very happy with it.
