Taking Video after Video...I LOVE it, my kids HATE it!

Pros Features, Accessories, Easy To Use, Price
Cons Doesn't come with case!
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Dependable Low Cost Video Camera to take all those priceless moments and memories!
I've had this camera for about 3 years and it has come in handy on numerous occassions!! From filming dance recitals to soccer games or t-ball games, from birthday parties to Christmas, this hand-held video camera is MY LOYAL PAL! It is very lightweight, easy to use (even husband can use this and he's not very good at electronics...) I've never had any problems with any of it, and the vhs-c tapes are reasonably priced too (which is fantastic for us who go through many tapes videotaping our children). Only fault I've found is this camera doesn't come with a carrying case but you can buy one for around $20.00 at Wal-mart for this type of camcorder.

Dimensions :

Depth-3.93 inches

Height-4.68 inches

Width-7.81 inches

Weight-about 2 lbs. (very lightweight)

What Makes This Camera So Wonderful :

I will be honest, this is my first video camera and most likely will be my last since the technology is changing so much, but the features on this camera has suited my needs to a TEE! The LCD screen is remarkable and very handy! Its on the left side of the camera and measures when opened 2.5 inches. You can choose to use it or not (it does take alot of battery life to run the LCD panel though) Speaking of batteries this camera comes equipped with a Nicmu Battery and it lasts up to 1.5 hours fully charged. The battery charger also comes with the camera and is very easy to use and navigate. JVC has really amazed me on what all this little contraption offers. It has Optical Zoom 16X, and Digital Zoom of 300X. Lens Focal Length is 3.9-62.4mm.

Where Can You Find This Great Invention:

I purchased mine at my local Sears store for around $300 about 3-4 years ago. You can find JVC at Circuit City, Best Buy, and other electronic stores. I'm sure the price has went down since I've bought mine. But as I said before, I've had this for 3-4 years and have had NO TROUBLE! I did buy the extra warranty on it because as we all know that the finer things we pay money for, need it just in case ;) I've never had to use the warranty thank God but it's always nice to have that peace of mind.

What Comes With The JVC GR-AXM225 :

Battery, Battery charger, Adapters to hook up to battery charger so you can use that feature for longer filming times (saves battery life), Tape Adapter (the kind that you pop in your little vhs-c tape and pop into your vcr to watch)*very handy*, hand strap for easy navigation. It was so nice to have all this with the camera so I didn't have to go out and spend more $$.

Extra Features:

Low Lux Feature-which means when you are filming in 'low-light' situations, this kicks in and boosts low light sensitivity to less than 1 lux so taking pictures in low light conditions would be as good as taking them in the daytime. Also has Image Stabilizer, for all of us with shakey hands, this is a PLUS! You won't have that jarbled video mess as if you would with out it. It stabilizes the video you are taking to a nice clear even picture! Trust me!

My Final Recommendation:

I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone and everyone!!! If you are looking for a cheap, dependable video camera to capture those special moments in your life, don't pass up this JVC GR-AXM225 camcorder...its beyond my expectations!
