I always wanted a DV Cam and finally purchased the JVC GR-DVM1 at a steal on Ebay. As a camera this little bugger is packed full of features. Stereo sound, effects, zoom you name it its probably got it. The battery that came with the camera would nto hold a charge for over 20 minutes on standby. So I started to look for one and found none other than for an online store. I paid a reasonable $29 for it from walmart.com .
As a camera this is pretty cool. Kind of lightweight - it is a little strange to hold on to because of the shape. I also noticed that the camera gets VERY VERY hot when you record continuously for over 15 minutes. It also came with a remote control for tripod use.
Being a DV cam, I purchased a Firewire card and cable for my pc but NOPE. You CANNOT connect this camera directly to the firewire card. You need a special docking station to connect it to the computer.
