JVC 61" HDILA - Great TV ... But a "gotcha" too
Pros
Great HD picture.
Cons
Less than perfect digital station pictures.
Recommended it?
Yes
I love the TV now that I worked through some things.
The most annoying is that about 3 weeks after getting it home, a white spot appeared in the picture when the TV was on. Seems a Pixel burned out. I had purchased the Service contract thinking any thing like this would be taken care of. When serviceman looked at it, he said that JVC won't repair just one pixel. This is a normal issue that requires more than one pixel to be gone. Even the manual says this is normal. I'm not happy about the white spot in every thing I watch on TV.
Secondly, The manual must have been written for technical people. I didn't know I needed a special HD cable box. I bought a special cable for the Digital signal, but should not have. I should have used the cable that came with the HD Box. I later had to have another cable guy come out and hook up the HD box to the audio system correctly. He also had to install a new splitter in the cable home junction box so the digital signal would be tolerable to watch.
