Pros
Great Time base corrector, the dubbed VHS tapes came out better than the originals.
Cons
This was an expensive unit to buy, almost double the price of it's current counterpart.

Yes
Well I have been using this as a Prosumer transfer and editing unit for about 5 years. It was expensive at the time but has more than paid for itself within the first 6months I've had it... I can recommend checking out JVC's latest offering with HDD/DVD and MiniDV the DR-DX5 - all the same possibilties at a fraction of the cost.
