After years of suffering through tiny boomboxes in my home office , I finally broke down and spent 400 bucks on the JVC HX-Z30 and couldn't be happier. Virtually no set-up right out of the box , connect 8 speaker wires and the antenna , plug it in and fire it up ! All the bells and whistles are fine and dandy but where this box pulls away from the others is sheer power and brilliance of sound. 6 Pre-set as well as 3 user interfaces replace the standard equalizer. This is one of the models that you can actually enjoy the sound at the lower levels or bringing the house down on max. All modes are crystal clear and crisp. For everybody who still has a tape deck in there ride , there is also the ability to record from cd to tape which is handy. Too bad ya can't go the other way.
