A solid basic camera

Yes
I would recommend this camcorder to anyone who wants a basic camera for everyday needs. The tapes that it uses are VH-C which are very handy because they can be put in the full size video tape which fits into the VCR, making it very easy to watch on television and convert to tape. The body style is also very good with the fold out video screen.
