Great little entry level radio
Pros
Good sound, easy to use, brilliant display, versatile, a great little unit.
Cons
None that I found.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I think this is a great entry level unit for the person wants some pizazz in their vehicle without breaking the bank.
Unlike the previous reviewer I have no interest in iPod.. after having five of them break I gave up, but this review is about the JVC radio and not the iPod.
I bought this to install in my F150. Being a truck I didn't want to spend a bundle on a radio and this one had the USB port up front which I thought would be useful so I bought it. So far I'm very impressed. It was less than 1/2 hour to install with the kit and harness and it works wonderfully.
It has a number of features I've not seen before in a radio, being able to label the radio stations, varying the amplifier output, playing CD track names etc. Call me an old geezer but I've not seen this before. These are a nice touch. The one thing I really enjoyed was the ability to load a thumb drive and stuff in into the USB front mounted port and then select RANDOM and have it play my 2GB of mp3's without my intervention.
I found the sound very good, the controls easy to understand once you're used to the JVC shuttle methodology.
It comes ready for satellite radio, a CD changer, an AUX IN.. what else could you ask for in this price range.
