Great high end sounding head unit

Pros Great look, stellar sound, good built in amp
Cons haven't found any yet
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  If your strapped and can't do Pioneer or other such systems, this should do just fine.
I researched this before I bought it and am so glad I decided on this one and not something like the Kenwood KDC-MPV619 which is priced in the same range, claims to have the same features, but really, really sucks. The Kenwood actually got put in my car (2000 Subaru Outback Sport) for 2 days while I waited for the JVC to ship in. THe Kenwood ate one of my MP3 cd's and wouldn't give it back, distorted at higher levels of volume, made the music sound tinny, and skipped at every single small bump on the road. Plus, I found it's interface positively annoying (way too flashy and distracting). Ugh. It's also hard to use.

Once we put the JVC in, all of my fears about the speakers (MB-QUARTZ) were allayed. Beautiful sound, easy to understand controls. In fact other customers at the car audio parking lot gathered around my car voicing strong approval for the sound. They were blown away when I told them the price too. It sounds very high-end. They were all impressed. This is all without an amp or a subwoofer in my car. And for $239, not a bad deal!

Works great with the IPOD.....
