GREAT FOR MULTI FORMAT FREAKS
Pros
GOOD WITH MULTI FORMATS, HIGH QUALITY OUTPUT, EASY TO USE AND INSTALL, REMOTE CONTROL
Cons
PRESETS BAD does not output a 24-bit 96khz frequency though your speakers, downmixes 24bit 48khz.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
If you want DVD, great stereo sound, and lots of format options get this unit. Its their top of the line model for 2006. SUPER PRODUCT-we need more like this.
Hey everyone, I have had this 6200 for a few monthes.
I'm a Multi format freak, I like to dj, I spin vinyl records, I spin electronic music, house and trance etc..
well as you may or may not know, vinyl is way way higher quality sound than most cd's. so I record my mixes in the highest format I can, I make true 24-bit 96khz DVD's with a special program called Audio DVD creator. long story short, this dvd player plays everything, DIVX, VCD, CD, Raw MP3 files, WMA and I had a hard time getting it to play WAV but thats probably because in the spec sheet anything higher than 24 bit 48khz is downmixed to that level, so I haven't experimented with wav files very much (ultimately if you make an original sound file on your computer it would be fantastic to be able to play that file in your car with no modifications at all. I think that when you change to other formats then you loose something in the conversion so the less conversion the better!
a word about the EQ.
The Equalizer, presets stink. Fortunately you can use the USER preset to custom define your own AND you can also modify all the other presets too so you never have to use their lame presets. AND I highly recomend getting atleast a 10' sub in the trunk! this unit kicks, it has a dedicated sub out and you have a power range from 0 off to 8 hard hitting. Lots and lots of options, I can't find any features missing from this one.
