Great sound --- for 4 days

I bought this receiver from Digital Foto Discount Club in Brooklyn NY. It worked for 4 days then dramatically popped 3 times afterwhich I smelled a burning smell. Now, it powers-up and immediately cuts off. Digital Foto won't send another replacement --- they said that once it's plugged in and used it's not a new product anymore and they can't replace it... even though only 4 days old. JVC gave me the number of a authorized servicer in my region. Called them and they said turnaround time is about 4 weeks. I am indignantly @*&&%^-off. Besides that, there's a hefty shipping charge to get it to the service location. Unbelievable!
Previous to this receiver, I had a JVC basic receiver that has lasted 15 years and still going. I thought I could trust them based on this experience... I will never by another JVC product.
