JVC KD-LH3100 - If you an MP3 fan - this deck is for you.

Pros No slipping (skipping), Superb song info display, Price, Intuitive controls
Cons Not many - looks are mediocre,
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Relatively cheap, solid, tons of features, graphics, no slipping :)
Have you ever heard this anoying loud burst of noise every few seconds while playing your MP3's? It usually happens near the end of the CD, after 100 songs or so. Sometimes sooner. Its not a skip, I would call it a "slip". Well, this deck DOES NOT DO THAT!!!! I spent hours researching this issue in stores trying dozens of decks. Brands like Sony, Kenwood, Panasonic, Alpine, Pioneer all have that problem. Even the most expansive units (over $700) have this issue. I found 2 brands that don't : JVC and Clarion. It's likely something in the drivers.

Anyhow, I picked this JVC because following:

1. Above mentioned "non-slipping"

2. Ultra low price ($200) (for such plenty of features)

3. It has one of the best song info displays I've seen, which is also very important to me. I usually don't know the artist or title when I listen to bunch of songs just burned off of Kazaa.

4. Skip backwards from first song to last (lots of decks dont have that feature)

5. Awsome 7 band, fully customizable equalizer

6. Subwoofer out with robust control.

7. Snazzy graphics display

PS. The slipping problem increases direct-proportionally to speed with which you burn your CD. i.e. the faster you burn - the more slipps you will get. Sometimes even x4 speed will cause some slipps - unacceptable, and why if you can burn it at x32
