Solid, inexpensive player with basic mp3 support (no .wma support!)
Solid, inexpensive player with 200 Watts and good sound quality. Basic MP3 support is a big plus. For more advanced MP3 support, look elsewhere - This one will not play WMA files. Simple button layout (with large buttons) for easy use while driving. Highly recommended for the price!

Good player, but what about MP3 playback?
JVC's KDS890 is an excellent CD/MP3 player for any automobile and for a good price. It plays back my CD-Rs without any trouble, and after several weeks of usage, I have experienced zero problems with any other feature of the product. Great overall but..
When I decided to buy a cd player for my 2000 Corolla, I wanted something cheap (as in price), sounds great, played mp3s and was simple to use. My choice, obviously was the JVC kd-s890. The cd player has some very good points and also some bad ones.
