JVC KT-SR2000 with KS-K6012 SIRIUS Radio Receiver with Car Kit

I have had a XM for about a year now and a relative remembered I had some kind of satellite radio and bought me a Sirius receiver as a gift. I canceled my XM service to give the new gift a try, She sent it with the JVC boom box. In just a couple of tries changing the channel I found I liked the ability to jump from one music category to another and then tab down to the channel in the category I liked,unlike XM. Then I found how great it was to be able to change the display so you could see what song is playing before even changing channel, again unlike XM . It wasn't long before I found the first flaw. This unit comes with a remote that has the usual digits 0-9 for inputing a direct channel change, but the unit itself does not have the 0-9 digits. meaning if you lose the remote you can't input direct channel changes. The second flaw is the remote does not have a user friendly volume control. It does have a mute button but in order to change the audio output you have to hit at least 8 keys. In the weeks I have had it to play with I like it better than the XM because there is less of the annoying DJ's between songs. Though there are many people buying this for howard stern listening, I used to listen to howard pre-1990 when he was funny.
