The Best GPS For The Price
Pros
Great modern technoligy that sets the standard for all other GPS's in this price range.
Cons
Sound quality can be better, poor bass.

The Bottom Line:
If you need a unit that offers easy usability or if you want lots of versitility, this is perfect. But lacks high powered audio.
After many weeks of internet/store research, I chose to buy the NX-7000. Few GPS's that would fit in a Double Din receiver had the options this unit has, and none had the large screen size in its price range. JVC has allways been an upper-middle quality consumer grade brand, I have made the decision to either buy American or Japanesse brand electronics due to seriouse quality issue on Chineese made electronics. Due to this decision I have faith this JVC unit would have the longevity, and quality of use to justify paying a little more than I would for the Chinnese generic brands. I have had the NX-7000 for a month now and all the extra frivelous options have actually been useful. I don't think i will ever go back to the dark days of external suctioncup mounted GPS's.

Large/Bright Screen with minimalistic style attraction
Very easy to use GPS system
Several data source otions. USB,CD-RW, SD Card, DVD-R, & Several formats too
Ease of installation. TIP Ground the parking brake wire to the frame "Negative" to smooth the install, and you can than bypass the DVD shut off switch.
Quality of product. Nothig on it feels cheap or flimsy. I was afraid the screen actuator would break, but its sturdy
Easy navigation through system programs
Wide array of purposful applications. So many i still find otions i had no idea existed

Not a high resolution screen display while playing DVD's. Although its still the best i have seen in a vehicle
Poor bass amplification. My factory stereo had much more bass
Does not fit a standard double din mount. I had to heavily modify my mount for it to fit
