Booming box great for cd's (and tapes when new)

I got this for a gift 4 years ago and was very impressed with the good and powerful sound. I copied cassettes and cd's to other cassettes and they came out very clear! It was rated by the consumer report as the third best machine at the time. They rated it the best for your money, since the top two were more than double the money! The cd system is still working great. The cassette par is starting to go. I tried cleaning it with those tape cleaners but it helped only a little. I use the cassette part a lot more than the cd's. If you don't use it much than it should last you a very long time.
