Average amplifier great tuner
Pros
110 watts per channel. Heavy duty heat sink great radio performance.
Cons
remote buttons on the small side. Annoying 'mute' button located near vol up/down
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
If you need a second amp for a childs room go to ebay and get it cheap. Otherwise look for better quality like Onkyo or Yamaha.
I purchased this reciever new in 1995. As time has passed a few of the front panel buttons do not work anymore. Excellent tuner. Puts many new recievers to shame.
Very powerful output of 110W x2 It has video sound capability. (basically an extra tape/aux switch) Remote control pretty basic. (only controls JVC components)
The THD rating is a little on the high side (0.90% @1khz)
As time has gone on it is getting harder and harder to find a good 2 channel amplifier. Which in humble opinion is better than the current crop of surround sound recv's.
In the future I will probably pick up a nice yamaha. As I see they get really good ratings.
