I received this fine piece of machinary for a birthday present. I was edgy at first because I was making a surround sound kingdom and it needed to be perfect. Knowing the receiver was the main piece I was worried. Here is how it handled:
Performance:
Well for 100 watts for the five channels this really makes the speakers pump. I loved every little beat of bass. It also has so many surround settings that you'll love it. Than I put in the movie "Matrix" and I have to tell you I felt in the movie than at the movies. It was great, I thought the bullets were going through me instead of to me. This really got two thumbs up for the whole surround affects.
Ease Of Use:
It is like giving a baby book to a grad, so easy. I was instantly listing to all my music. There is a chip inside that instantly turns off the receiver if you have it up to high so you do not over load your speakers and blow them out. You can either change the settings on your feet or you can do it while lying back and enjoying life. If you are as lazy as me than this thing is heaven.
Overall:
I would have to say Thank You to JVC. This is a really outstanding piece of work. I hope they got company of the year for this. If you are looking for all the features for half the price than this is what you have been looking for. I couldn't wish for a better birthday gift.
