Great entry level
Pros
Features, price
Cons
Hot, not enough power for a large HT
Recommended it?
Yes
This product was priced right, had all of the necessary HT features, and it had a respectable name (JVC). In the 9 months I have owned it, it has performed admirably, and I highly recommend it.
- easy to program radio presets
- great sound
- huge number of inputs (optical, RCA, speaker)
- great DSP performance
Some other folks have had some problems with this model - especially "hissing" from the rear speakers when driving from true 5.1 sources. I believe this has been identified as a ground-loop issue, and there is at least one fix floating around on Usenet.
